Helix Energy Solutions (NYSE:HLX) announced today that due to the timing of the closing of the acquisition of Horizon Offshore, Inc. by Helix's majority owned subsidiary, Cal Dive International, Inc. (NYSE:DVR), Helix will issue formal earnings guidance for 2008 after the Cal Dive Board of Directors approves the budget for the combined entity, which is currently scheduled for late February, 2008.
