PENTAX Announces New Binocular Models

GOLDEN, Colo. -- PENTAX Imaging Company has announced the addition of three new binocular models to its line of sport optics products.

A new series of PENTAX DCF SW roof-prism binoculars includes two models, 8x25 and 10x25, that offer a dual-hinge design that folds to be ultra-compact and are waterproof and nitrogen-filled for advanced waterproof capability in a slim, portable design. The PENTAX 9x28 DCF LV high-end roof-prism binoculars feature a maneuverable, lightweight, waterproof and impact-resistant design with an advanced optical system that offers a bright and clear field of view.

Also announced is the PENTAX UA-1 digital camera adapter that allows users to attach almost any compact digital camera to the PENTAX PF-80ED or PF-65ED series of spotting scopes. The highly adjustable nature of the adapter along with the high-quality optics of the PENTAX scopes makes this the perfect digiscoping tool.

All product models will ship in February 2008 and will be displayed in Las Vegas, Nevada at PMA - The Worldwide Community of Imaging Associations' International Convention and Trade Show from January 31-February 2, and SHOT SHOW 2008 from February 2-5. Available in 8x25 and 10x25 models, the PENTAX DCF SW binoculars models will be available for under US $180, and the PENTAX DCF LV will be available for under US $250. The PENTAX UA-1 digital camera adaptor will be priced at US $70.
