CSK Auto Corporation Announces Re-Appointment of EVP - Merchandising

PHOENIX -- CSK Auto Corporation (NYSE:CAO) (the "Company") announced today that after a brief leave of absence to attend to family matters in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Brian Woods will re-join the Company as its Executive Vice President - Merchandising. Mr. Woods will recommence employment today, Monday, December 17, 2007.
"We completely supported the decision Brian made last month to attend to pressing matters at home, and are very enthused that he is returning to CSK so quickly. Brian already set the groundwork for improved results, and we know that he will hit the ground running and make a difference here at CSK," said Larry Mondry, President and CEO.

Prior to his employment with CSK Auto, Mr. Woods served as Executive Vice President and General Merchandising Manager of CompUSA from October 2003 to February 2007. He has also served in a variety of other executive and management positions with CompUSA from July 1992, including Vice President of Technology Services, Senior Director of Technical Services and Director of Service Project Management, a position responsible for building CompUSA's national account commercial business.
CSK Auto Corporation is the parent company of CSK Auto, Inc., a specialty retailer in the automotive aftermarket. As of November 4, 2007, the Company operated 1,342 stores in 22 states under the brand names Checker Auto Parts, Schuck's Auto Supply, Kragen Auto Parts, and Murray's Discount Auto Stores.
