Leading Analyst Firm Positions Citrix in the Leaders Quadrant for the SSL VPN Magic Quadrant

Business Wire, Dec 20, 2007

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced that the Citrix Access Gateway[TM] has been positioned in the leaders quadrant by Gartner, Inc. in the "Magic Quadrant for SSL VPN, North America, 3Q07"1 report. Gartner defines leaders as demonstrating "balanced progress and effort on all execution and vision categories. Their actions raise the competitive bar for all products in the market, and they can change the course of the industry. To remain in the SSL VPN leaders quadrant, vendors must excel in mobile access and protection and must dominate in sales." The report can be accessed at: www.citrix.com/English/ps2/products/documents.asp?contentid=15005.

Citrix Access Gateway is a key component of the overarching Citrix application delivery infrastructure, which allows IT to deliver any application to any user with the best performance, security and cost savings. By tightly integrating Citrix Access Gateway with products like Citrix Presentation Server[TM] (Windows application delivery) and Citrix[R] NetScaler[R] (web application delivery)2, customers are able to give end users a much richer application experience without compromising security.

"Customers are increasingly looking for application-fluent security solutions that operate as a seamless part of their overall infrastructure," said Wes Wasson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Citrix. "By making secure application access part of an end-to-end application delivery infrastructure, Citrix gives administrators unprecedented control over regulatory compliance and risk management in a way that actually enhances user experience."

Spending on IT security services will reach $26.7 billion by 2010, according to Gartner, Forecast: IT Security Services, WW, 2004-2010.3 As the emphasis on such security issues as regulatory compliance and disaster recovery increase, the pressure on CIOs to take more control of application data will only increase.
