David Schwedel of DAS Family Holdings Announces Increase to 10% in Holdings of Synthesis Energy Systems

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- David A. Schwedel, Chairman, DAS Family Holdings, LP, announced today an increase to approximately 10% in holdings of Synthesis Energy Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SYMX). A Form 3 filed today with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission disclosed ownership of 3,306,200 common shares.

Houston-based SES develops products based on innovative technologies that allow the conversion of low cost and low quality coals into high value commodities. The company recently announced an agreement with Consol Energy to investigate the development of coal-based gasification facilities to produce feedstock for various industrial chemical manufacturers. Consol Energy and SES will also investigate the feasibility of producing substitute natural gas (SNG) to meet the demand for clean, affordable energy.

In June, Schwedel filed a Schedule 13D form with the Securities and Exchange Commission disclosing his investment interest in SES.
