Energen CEO James McManus Elected to Gas Technology Institute Board

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- James T. McManus II, chief executive officer of Energen Corporation, has been elected for a three-year term to the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) board of directors. Headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, GTI is the leading research, development and training organization serving the natural gas industry and energy markets.

McManus also is a member of the boards and executive committees of the American Exploration & Production Council (formerly Domestic Petroleum Council) and the U.S. Oil & Gas Association; a member of the National Petroleum Council; past-director of the Independent Producers Association of America (IPAA); director of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA); and a director of the Business Council of Alabama.
