Business Wire, Feb 1, 2007
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in replacement integrated circuit (IC) and microcontroller solutions, today announced that it will offer a replacement for Intel's AN/AS82527 Serial Communications Controllers (Control Area Network Protocol).
Innovasic's versions of the chips are identified as IA82527QFP44 and IA82527PLCC. The replacements will be fully form, fit and function compatible with the AN82527 and AS82527.
The 82527 serial communications controller is a highly integrated device that performs serial communication according to the CAN protocol. It performs all serial communication functions such as transmission and reception of messages, message filtering, transmit search, and interrupt search with minimal interaction from the host microcontroller, or CPU.
The IA82527QFP44 and IA82527PLCC will be offered in standard and RoHS compliant packaging.
