Strategic Industry Association Partnership Strengthens Yankee Group's Presence in China
BOSTON & BEIJING -- Yankee Group and China Mobile Communications Association (CMCA), a nonprofit organization solely devoted to the mobile communications industry, today announced an exclusive alliance to better serve the Chinese mobile market by providing collaborative, market-relevant content and conferences. As part of the alliance, CMCA appointed Yankee Group as its exclusive, official analyst firm to provide world-class market research information to CMCA's broad member base in China.
Under the terms of the agreement, Yankee Group will provide research, data and insight for contributed analyst expertise columns exclusive to Yankee Group in CMCA's flagship publication Mobile. These columns will deliver market research and timely commentary on market dynamics in the mobile communications industry. Additionally, CMCA will work with Yankee Group to co-host professional workshops and industry events that address global connectivity issues that affect the Chinese telecom market. This alliance broadens Yankee Group's exposure in the Chinese market while simultaneously creates the opportunity for CMCA to expand its membership-base outside of China.
"CMCA will help accelerate Yankee Group's market development in China by providing direct access to the Chinese telecom market," said XJ Wang, vice president of Yankee Group Asia-Pacific Research. "Chinese carriers and vendors will have easier access to Yankee Group's research that explores the impact global and ubiquitous connectivity has on enterprises, consumers and the network."
Together, Yankee Group and CMCA will support each other's commitment in promoting relevant industry forums and conferences that address mobile communications issues.
"Appointing Yankee Group as the official analyst firm of CMCA was an easy, but strategic decision for us because Yankee Group is the leader in global connectivity market research," said Ni Jianzhong, secretary general of CMCA. "The partnership with Yankee Group supports our goal of providing quality and reliable information to our members. Additionally, Yankee Group's global brand recognition will increase CMCA's international exposure resulting in the acquisition of new, international members."
