DynDNS Earns ICANN Accreditation

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Dynamic Network Services Inc., a provider of superior domain name system services (DNS) announced that it had recently been accredited as a domain registrar by ICANN (icann.org), the body that oversees the stability of the DNS. With the new status, DynDNS can directly register .com, ,.net, .org, .biz, .info, and .name domains.

An ICANN accreditation is a seal of approval of the technical and financial fortitude of an organization. ICANN requires an extensive application and review process to ensure the stability of a domain registrar. To date, ICANN has only granted accreditation status to a few hundred other entities.

In the following months, DynDNS intends to add additional TLDs. DynDNS offers a number of DNS, e-mail processing (forwarding and relaying with spam and virus filtering, and e-mail store and forward), SSL certificates, and network monitoring services in conjunction with domain registration. A contact manager allows simple management of WHOIS contacts across multiple domains.

DynDNS continues to provide registration for other TLDs as a reseller of Tucows' domain name registration services. The list includes .cc, .cn, .tv, .uk, and .us.
