Composite Information Server Named One of 10 Best Network Infrastructure Technologies

Network World Selects Leading Data Services Provider's Flagship Product for Exclusive List

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Composite Software, Inc., the leader in SOA data services, today announced its flagship product, the Composite Information Server (CIS), has been named one of the 10 best products for next-generation network infrastructure by Network World.

In its February 19 issue, the magazine's editors presented snapshots of the ten "innovative and enterprise-shifting products" that network executives need to keep on their radar as they move to the "new data center." This new data center, according to Network World, describes the shift of viewing IT in a more logical perspective through the use of automation, on-demand computing, virtualization and so forth.

Composite's CIS earned high praise for its ability to "virtualize data queries, letting companies cull data from various repositories without going through lengthy integration or data-warehouse initiatives. A multithreaded Java application, CIS non-invasively accesses data from disparate sources; combines, abstracts and simplifies it; and delivers it via Web services or relational views."

"As enterprise data continues to grow exponentially, IT teams look to innovative companies like Composite to provide the infrastructure needed to deliver this information as a service to their users," said Jim Green, CEO and president of Composite Software. "As such, we're pleased to have been selected as one of Network World's Top 10 infrastructure products."

In addition to the CIS, VMware's Infrastructure 3, Tangosol's Coherence, DataSynapse's FabricServer, Newbury Networks' Presence Platform, Incipient's iNSP, Tideway Systems' Foundation, Tealeaf Technology's Tealeaf CX, Mimosa Systems' NearPoint, A10 Networks' IP-to-ID Service were named to the list.
