Business Wire, Feb 21, 2007

MINNEAPOLIS -- Valtira Corporation, a leading provider of on-demand integrated software, announced today that Greg Effertz is joining the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Effertz served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Minneapolis-based Retek Inc. from 1997 through 2005. During that period, Retek enjoyed explosive growth from a revenue base of less than $10M to over $200M and almost 1,000 employees. He led a successful IPO in 1999 and the eventual sale of Retek to Oracle for an unprecedented $670M in 2005.

Effertz says, "Valtira is laying the software infrastructure framework in marketing that reminds me of the opportunity we saw in retail at Retek in the late 90's."

"With more than 20 years of financial leadership including more than 10 years in various executive roles for publicly traded companies and a demonstrated background in taking a company from start-up to IPO, Effertz will prove to be a key part of Valtira's evolving management team," says Valtira CEO David Bagley.

Founded in 2003, Valtira is the creator of the Simplicis Marketing Dashboard and the leading provider of on-demand integrated marketing software. Simplicis improves marketing effectiveness and empowers Marketing 2.0 by enabling marketers to create campaigns delivered across any channel, track their response online and in call centers, personalize web site content based on campaign audience profiles, and provide the sales force with site browsing history for any resulting leads.
