Berkshire Hathaway Inc. News Release
Business Wire, Feb 26, 2007
OMAHA, Neb. -- Berkshire Hathaway Inc.'s 2006 Annual Report to the shareholders and its Form 10-K will be posted on the Internet on Thursday March 1, 2007, at approximately 3:00 p.m. central time where it can be accessed on the Internet (berkshirehathaway.com). The Annual Report will include Warren E. Buffett's annual letter to shareholders and other information about Berkshire's financial position and results of operations. Concurrent with the posting of the Annual Report, Berkshire will also issue an earnings release.
For the last several years, it has been our policy and preference to post Berkshire's Annual Report on the Internet on the first or second Saturday of March. While we would have preferred to continue this policy, we are unable to do so this year because of a change in SEC reporting deadlines.
The Annual Report is scheduled to be mailed to registered shareholders on or about March 19, 2007. Annual Reports are also scheduled to be shipped on or about that date to mailing agents of the numerous banks, brokers, etc. who hold shares as nominees for beneficial-but-not-of-record owners. However, we have no control over when such reports are subsequently mailed by the mailing agents to beneficial shareholders.
Berkshire Hathaway and its subsidiaries engage in diverse business activities including property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, utilities and energy, finance, manufacturing, retailing and services. Common stock of the company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, trading symbols BRK.A and BRK.B.
