Business Wire, Feb 27, 2007
RICHMOND, Va. -- AMC Technology, L.L.C., a provider of multi-channel interaction management solutions for contact centers, announced today that the newest addition to the AMC MCIS Suite, AMC Application Adapter for salesforce.com, is now available on salesforce.com's AppExchange at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.
> The Application Adapter, which works with Salesforce Service & Support Call Center Edition, is the central server component that allows companies to manage inbound and outbound calls more effectively. It also manages the real-time flow of interactions between salesforce.com's soft phone user interface and contact center solutions such as Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, and others. Customer data including case history and previous activities are presented to the agent and the agent is able to perform telephone functions such as placing the call on hold, conference calling, and transfers directly from Salesforce. The AMC Application Adapter for salesforce.com is featured on salesforce.com's AppExchange, the world's first on-demand application directory. AMC's Adapter, available through an annual subscription, is pre-integrated with Salesforce and tested against the leading vendors such as Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, and others, ensuring compatibility with customer infrastructure and ease of installation.
"AMC has a large customer install base on SAP CRM and others, but recently salesforce.com has become a popular choice for customers wishing to use CRM functionality," stated Anthony X. Uliano, President/CTO, AMC Technology. "The addition of new call center functionality in salesforce.com's Winter '07 release opens up new markets and customer interest. AMC's investment in our relationship with salesforce.com allows customers to choose best of breed: Salesforce for their CRM application and any of the leading computer telephony vendors, all integrated with AMC's proven MCIS architecture."
"As salesforce.com customers extend their implementations to include Salesforce Service & Support they are also taking advantage of the AppExchange to browse, find and install additional on-demand applications with just a few clicks," said Matt Holleran, vice president, AppExchange partners, salesforce.com. "AMC's Adapter provides a means to accelerate the integration of Salesforce Service & Support soft phone technology with the leading CTI vendors, which in turn accelerates customer success."
