Business Wire, Feb 27, 2007
MELVILLE, N.Y. -- Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology active semiconductor, display, illumination and system solutions, today announced the introduction of their newest "Xpress Track" workshop featuring the nRF24L01 ultra-low power 2.4GHz transceiver from one of their leading suppliers, Nordic Semiconductor. This workshop, taking place next month in six cities throughout North America, offers engineers the opportunity to learn about the nRF24L01's innovative Multiceiver[TM] technology, which is capable of driving up to six simultaneously communicating wireless device nodes.
Nu Horizons Xpress Track seminars and workshops are conducted in company training centers. Each training center replicates an ideal design environment for engineers interested in leveraging Nordic Semiconductor's development tools, architectures and products. In the nRF24L01 series, designers will discover how to set up robust transfer links for their applications, with emphasis on data transport mechanisms, radio frequency (RF) fundamentals and PCB layout considerations.
The nRF24L01 transceiver with embedded protocol is the latest device from Nordic Semiconductor's extensive portfolio of 2.4 GHz wireless integrated circuits merging high speed with ultra-low power and ultra-low cost. This transceiver enables power applications, including wireless desktops, intelligent sports equipment and Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions.
