Double Platinum Artists The Fray Announce Summer Amphitheatre Tour

Indie Hitmakers OK Go, Gomez, Mae and Eisley Among Opening Bands
NEW YORK -- Grammy-nominated Denver band, The Fray will be headlining a major summer amphitheatre tour in support of their debut album, How To Save A Life, recently certified double platinum by the RIAA and named the #1 digital album of all time. The cross country tour will sweep across the nation, starting in Minneapolis on June 11th at the Target Center and ending with two highly coveted shows at Red Rocks in Denver on August 4th and 5th. Stellar buzz bands OK Go will open for the band along with Mae on the first leg, Gomez and Eisley will open on the second leg, and fellow local Colorado bands will finish off the tour.

With downloads exploding, iTunes recently named The Fray's How To Save A Life as the most downloaded album of 2006. The chartbusting first single on How to Save a Life, "Over My Head (Cable Car)" hit #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, was certified as a platinum digital single. The follow up single, "How to Save a Life," spent four months in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also a certified as a platinum digital single.
The Fray also swept the digital category at the Billboard Music Awards in December winning awards for Digital Songs Artist of the Year, Digital Album Artist of the Year and Digital Album of the Year.
"Look After You," the band's third single was released a few weeks ago, and has been fast reacting at radio. It has already been climbing the AAA, Hot AC and Top 40 charts.
