New Analysis Shows Saturn is Successfully Battling Import Automakers, According to Edmunds' AutoObserver.com

Business Wire, Feb 28, 2007

Edmunds.com:

What: Analysts speculate that Toyota is poised to overtake General
Motors as the world's largest automaker this year. Edmunds'
AutoObserver.com today presents analysis suggesting that Saturn is
providing GM's best defense against slipping U.S. market share.

In Edmunds' list of top 10 vehicles also considered by Saturn
shoppers, nearly all are import nameplates for every Saturn model.

Edmunds is forecasting at least a 50-percent increase in Saturn sales
for February compared with a year ago. Sales are coming from largely
Asian brands, especially Japan's Big Three -- Honda, Nissan and
Toyota. (February sales will be reported Thursday.)
