Workshop Conducted By Member of 2004 Olympic Sports Massage Team

SAN DIEGO -- BIOTONE is adding another continuing education workshop to its already successful Spa Body Treatments Workshop series. The new Clinical Sports Massage Techniques Workshop teaches massage therapists the most effective massage techniques for treating sports related injuries and increasing athletic performance. The two-day workshop sessions will be held at massage therapy schools across the nation. BIOTONE workshop attendees will receive 16 National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) continuing education (CE) contact hours.

Dr. Pete Pfannerstill, workshop instructor, has been a highly sought out sports massage therapist for professional athletes since 1997 and is owner of UltraSports Massage Therapy, Inc. Dr. Pfannerstill is the coordinator of the local Florida State Massage Therapy Association (FSMTA) Tampa Bay Chapter Sports Massage Team. His achievements include receiving the Florida State Massage Therapist of the Year award in 2005 and his selection as a massage therapist to the 2004 Athens Olympic Sports Massage Team.
