Content Delivery Network's Flash Architecture Scores with Web Version of infoUSA's Salesgenie.com Commercial
COSTA MESA, Calif. -- VitalStream Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:VSTH), a leader in rich media online content delivery and monetization, successfully hosted and streamed an online commercial for infoUSA's Salesgenie.com, which aired on television during Super Bowl XLI.
In line with the growing trend among big brands to pursue an integrated marketing approach, advertising online as well as on TV during the biggest sporting event of the year, infoUSA sought VitalStream's Streaming Service for Flash[TM] and rich media delivery infrastructure to convert its commercial into Flash video for broadcast on the Salesgenie.com site. In addition, VitalStream created a custom media player for www.salesgenie.com/tv, allowing visitors to easily view the commercial anytime. Starting Super Bowl Sunday, visitors to infoUSA's Web site can rate the company's commercial and suggest scenarios for its 2008 Super Bowl advertisement.
VitalStream's proprietary solution for Flash includes MediaConsole[R], a workflow management toolset that integrates with all media streaming formats and includes pre-built skins and a real-time reporting dashboard. VitalStream provides the MediaOps[TM] software development kit to assist customers like infoUSA with their Flash application development. MediaOps, a library of Flash software and Flash-developed objects, enables developers to quickly and easily implement their Flash projects.
"Launching a commercial during the Super Bowl gave us access to a large target market and we needed an integrated online resource to help us turn viewers into customers," said Vin Gupta, Chairman and CEO of infoUSA. "VitalStream's demonstrated expertise and prestigious client base proved that the company would help us make a significant impact worldwide, enabling Web surfers to view our commercial while providing a way for Super Bowl watchers to see our advertisement on demand."
