Avnet Electronics Marketing Inks Expanded Distribution Agreement with Amphenol
Business Wire, Feb 8, 2007
PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas has expanded its franchise agreement with Amphenol to include the Amphenol Alden Products Company portfolio of high performance connectors and cable assemblies. The expanded agreement will enable Avnet and Amphenol to provide more products, services, and logistical support to customers throughout North America.
Amphenol Alden Products are used in medical, instrumentation and harsh-environment industrial Ethernet applications. Products are engineered for reliability and functionality while exposed to rough environmental and mechanical stress, including areas outside of the electronic enclosure box - something internal components and wiring never see.
The additional product lineup offers customers a wide range of off-the-shelf components and the ability to quickly modify and customize standard modular connector packages to meet unique application challenges. "Amphenol Alden Products' 'art to part' interconnect solution is a very innovative and unique approach to servicing customers that includes design, development and manufacturing - and it will help our customers who need customized interconnect product in their next generation designs," said Pat Wastal, senior vice president of IP&E for Avnet Electronics Marketing. "We look forward to marrying Avnet's design and supply chain capabilities with Amphenol Alden's products and customization ability to meet our customers' application challenges."
"Amphenol Alden Products views the recent agreement with Avnet Electronics Marketing as a clear path to expand our customer base, harnessing the design and marketing power that Avnet is known for within the industry," said Sharon Thomas, Amphenol Alden products business development manager.
Amphenol Alden Products also offers a signature line of Pulse-Lok[R] auto-coupling connectors, high voltage, and custom overmolded cable assemblies that span a multitude of applications and markets for high density, power and Ethernet requirements.
