Fairchild Semiconductor CEO Mark Thompson to Discuss Future of Power Semiconductors at APEC 2007

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine -- Mark Thompson, president and CEO of Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE:FCS), will address the global challenges facing power semiconductor suppliers in a keynote speech at the Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) to be held February 25-March 1, 2007 in Anaheim, California. Dr. Thompson will speak at the conference's plenary discussion at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 26.
Dr. Thompson's speech, "The Future of Power Semiconductors," will explore the market and environmental trends driving the next platform of power semiconductors, including global pressures of the increasing demand for energy, the dwindling supply of fuel, the emergence of new regulations and standards mandating energy efficiency in a wide range of applications. He will also stress the importance of leveraging advanced process and packaging technologies to develop energy-efficient solutions.
In addition to Dr. Thompson's keynote address, Fairchild will offer techniques for developing power-efficient designs and profile its broad portfolio of leading-edge products (booth #400). Fairchild's technical presence will also include the following presentations by key technologists:
