LG Electronics Selects RMI's Alchemy Au1200 Processor for LN 790 Portable Navigation Device With Multimedia Capabilities

LAS VEGAS -- Raza Microelectronics, Inc. (RMI([R])), a leading supplier of processors for communications and consumer applications, today announced that LG Electronics (LG), a leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications, has selected the Au1200 processing solution from Raza Microelectronics, Inc. for its LN 790 Portable Navigation Device with integrated Multimedia capabilities.

The LN 790 from LG is a highly integrated Portable Navigation Device complete with multimedia capability including Music, Photo and Video file playback. The PND features a slim and compact design and a 4.3" TFT LCD (480 x 272 QVGA) with battery run time of up to 4 hours. The navigation capabilities include a touch screen with Millions of POI's, Bluetooth[TM] Headset and Audio streaming as well as TTS (Text to Speech) with Turn-by-Turn Voice Guidance. The LN790 interfaces include a USB 2.0 slot and an SD Card slot. The player comes complete with preloaded United States and Canada map.
