Research and Markets: Evans & Sutherland Annual Revenue is an Estimated $25 Million

Business Wire, Jan 10, 2007

DUBLIN, Ireland -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c41866) has announced the addition of Evans & Sutherland Company Update Report to their offering.

Evans & Sutherland (ES) still remains a real opportunity as an undervalued asset. The company has an estimated book value of $36M with a current gross cash balance of $46M. Given an estimated $25M annual revenue stream we would put a fair value of $61M or $5.54/share on the company.

Unfortunately current expense levels and the lack of an articulated plan from management are likely to keep the shares trading at a small premium to book value for now. Management has indicated that when they release results for the September quarter in October of this year they will be in a position to provide information about the plans going forward and they will have had their first clean quarter post the restructuring.

We expect additional developments around the need for ultra-high resolution graphics to continue to demand new display technologies. ES has quite a bit of historical IP around the real-time display of these images and as very fast networks and high performance grids con-tinue to be adopted there will be more applications for this type of technology. Industry in-siders are aware of ES and a few minor connections with players like Google pique our curiosity.
