Integration with SAP NetWeaver Platform Further Enhances Benefits for Customers
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. -- Gamma Enterprise Technologies, a leading global provider of application data management software solutions for companies running SAP[R] solutions, today announced that its ArchiveBridge[TM] version 1.1 data preservation software has achieved "Certified for SAP NetWeaver[R]" status. With seamless integration between ArchiveBridge 1.1 and the SAP NetWeaver platform, customers can optimize the archiving and preservation of SAP data, documents and reports for improved application performance and lower storage costs.
To achieve Certified for SAP NetWeaver qualification, Gamma has demonstrated that its ArchiveBridge version 1.1 has integrated successfully with the SAP NetWeaver platform. Designed to work with Symantec Enterprise Vault, customers using ArchiveBridge receive the benefits of expanded functionality and security for their SAP archiving and preservation, resulting in optimized system performance to meet their business objectives. The power and flexibility built into the joint solution from Gamma and Symantec enables users to gain additional results from their SAP archiving efforts by keeping production systems lean and enabling on demand retrieval of historic data to improve application performance and lower hardware upgrade and storage costs.
"One of the key factors in our decision to partner with Gamma was the strength and integrity of the company's product offerings in support of SAP solutions," said Nick Mehta, vice president at Symantec. "ArchiveBridge, now Certified for SAP NetWeaver, together with Symantec Enterprise Vault, helps ensure that we are able to offer a compelling solution to address the needs of customers using SAP solutions."
Typically, production systems increase steadily in size over time. According to a survey conducted by Gamma of over 250 professionals using SAP solutions, almost half of all respondents cited production databases of 500GB or greater and growing. Nearly eighty percent of those surveyed are already archiving or are planning to do so in the near future. ArchiveBridge is a cross-application software solution that enables customers to increase the value of their archiving process. Using ArchiveBridge, customers can archive and retrieve SAP solution-based data and associated business documents, including scanned images, text, MS Word and .PDF files, from external content repositories. It integrates via the SAP ArchiveLink[TM] software to deliver enhanced, long-term archival and retrieval functionality.
"We are pleased to achieve Certified for SAP NetWeaver status from SAP, which underscores our commitment to delivering products that integrate seamlessly with SAP solutions and meet SAP-approved guidelines," said Suzanne Swanson, executive vice president at Gamma. "Combined with Enterprise Vault, ArchiveBridge can quickly and securely store, manage and retrieve SAP application data, offering further benefits to enterprises."
The SAP NetWeaver platform powers the mySAP[TM] Business Suite family of applications, SAP xApps[TM] packaged composite applications, and partner solutions. SAP NetWeaver unifies integration technologies into a single platform and is pre-integrated with business applications, enabling change and reducing the need for customized integration.
