Spectra Logic Wins Storage Magazine-Diogenes Quality Awards in Mid-Range Category for Second Year
Business Wire, Jan 17, 2007
BOULDER, Colo. -- Spectra Logic, the backup and archival data storage innovator, is one of only two vendors to be named winner in the Storage magazine-Diogenes Quality Awards for a second consecutive year. The award identifies and recognizes products, in use by and assessed by customers, that have proven their quality and reliability. The results are derived from a survey of qualified Storage readers who reported their opinions on the quality of the products in five main categories: sales-force competence, product features, initial product quality, product reliability and technical support.
According to the January 2007 article, "Spectra Logic Corp., the smallest privately held vendor to qualify for the award, proved you don't have to be a goliath to turn out products customers appreciate. The company also proved that its victory as the midrange Quality Award winner in 2005 was no fluke. Once again, Spectra Logic beat out six other vendors to repeat as the midrange tape library winner."
Spectra Logic's midrange products were ranked first place overall. The company also ranked first for sales force competence, initial product quality and technical support.
"Spectra Logic is very pleased to receive this honor again -- the second year in a row," said Nathan Thompson, CEO of Spectra Logic. "This consistent, positive response from our customers helps confirm that we are moving in the right direction as we continue to improve our archival and data backup products, our customer support programs, and our educational efforts with sales and VARs."
