Autoliv Honored by General Motors for 'Outstanding Performance'

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Autoliv (NYSE: ALV) (STO: ALIV), the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems, was honored by General Motors for "Outstanding Performance" during ceremonies Thursday, January 11, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. This is the second consecutive year Autoliv has been recognized for its achievements in supporting GM's product efforts.
"The leadership and employees of Autoliv represent what it takes to make GM's products successful," said Bo Andersson, GM Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "We honor these companies at the North American International Auto Show to remind the industry and the public of the critical role our suppliers play in developing GM vehicles globally."
Arthur Blanchford, Autoliv's Vice President of Global GM Business, received the award on behalf of Autoliv. "We are thrilled to be nominated for a second straight year to this elite group of suppliers," said Mr. Blanchford. "This award acknowledges the hard work and sustained commitment of our employees to meet the ever higher standards of performance set by the automotive industry. We are pleased to be recognized for our role in complementing GM's leadership in the manufacture of world-class products through world-class performance."
This is the sixth consecutive year GM has recognized companies for their outstanding performance in GM's priority areas of Supply Chain, Quality/Launch, Program Management, and Current/Future Business in 2006.
