Dwain Kinghorn, Altiris CTO, said, "The more cost we can eliminate from IT operations, the more we can help our customers focus on innovating IT service and performance. Altiris has worked closely with Intel to deliver an optimally managed computing platform that helps reduce the cost and complexity of technology ownership. Our customers receive excellent value as we enhance our integrated solutions."
Robert B. Crooke, Intel vice president and general manager, Business Client Group, said, "Intel vPro Technology combined with Altiris service-oriented management enables businesses to extend limited IT resources by automating more management processes. For example, even in the most automated IT environment, approximately 50 percent of all IT support costs result from expensive and time-consuming desk-side visits. Integrating Intel vPro Technology with Altiris solutions will help reduce expenses and increase productivity, both for IT and the end-user."
