Easy Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Managed Services for Siemens mySAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Users

MALVERN, Pa. -- Siemens Medical Solutions (www.usa.siemens.com/healthcareit) today announced a teaming agreement with SEEBURGER, a leading provider of global business integration solutions to the healthcare industry.

SEEBURGER provides easily deployed, managed services for business-to-business integration, including classic electronic data interchange (EDI), with native integration to mySAP ERP (enterprise resource planning). Siemens, an authorized reseller of mySAP ERP, selected the SEEBURGER B2B Gateway solution because it allows customers who implement mySAP ERP to benefit from SEEBURGER's extensive experience in hosted e-business and EDI services for SAP environments.

As the healthcare industry's leading Application Service Provider (ASP), Siemens Medical Solutions provides hosting services to more than 1,000 customers from its state-of-the-art Information Systems Center in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Siemens Medical Solutions and SAP have extended their long-standing partnership to offer a joint Health Information System (HIS) and ERP solution to local, regional and university hospitals across the US. Siemens has the ability to host mySAP ERP in the Siemens Information Systems Center. The SEEBURGER B2B Gateway solution allows customers to communicate seamlessly with trading partners in electronic business-to-business transactions in a hosted and managed services deployment model. In addition, SEEBURGER's native integration with mySAP ERP allows fast, streamlined business processes with trading partners.

"We have seen many healthcare enterprises reduce costs, increase revenue and extend their market reach among patients and physicians through the execution of e-business initiatives, such as EDI," stated Luis Castillo, Senior Vice President, Foundations Enterprise Systems, Siemens Medical Solutions Healthcare IT Division. "SEEBURGER's managed services approach to EDI takes a large, complex operational burden off a hospital's IT staff."

Under this new teaming agreement, SEEBURGER will work directly with interested Siemens SAP users to improve overall trading partner integration and automation, and to assist in maintaining compliant data standards through the implementation of its B2B Gateway solutions.

"As healthcare organizations are continually expanding their operations and implementing new technology solutions to assist in improving the quality of patient care, they are faced with many different data formats and structures," explained Scott Lewin, president of SEEBURGER USA. "Through our superior B2B integration services and solutions, we are confident that SEEBURGER can help Siemens SAP users maintain compliance and improve their processes through integration."

SEEBURGER has worked with SAP for more than 10 years and has executed more than 4,000 implementations in SAP environments, making SEEBURGER SAP's largest business-to-business integration partner.
