Cypress Appoints Manuel Calderon Vice President of Professional Services

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -- Cypress Software Systems, LP has named Manuel Calderon vice president of professional services. He brings more than 10 years of business, technology and consulting experience to the position, and he will help grow and manage Cypress' professional services division, including product creation, development and delivery.

Prior to Cypress, Calderon held several positions with Equifax Enabling Technologies that impacted the technology, business and professional services aspects of the company's consumer and small business loan origination products. As senior consultant, he was responsible for the sales, marketing, development and delivery of Equifax's professional services offerings.

Before that, Calderon worked with BB&T Bank of Winston-Salem, N.C., where he held a team leader role in the bank's Information Services, Delivery Systems division. As the lead of the group that supported the loan origination system of the Indirect Lending Group, he was responsible for establishing strategies to maximize the return on investment (ROI) and operational efficiency of BB&T's loan origination software.

Additionally, during his tenure at BB&T, Calderon was involved in several mergers and acquisitions, where he served as the lead for technology selection, systems configuration, workflow optimization and automation of the Indirect Lending Group loan origination credit policies and procedures.

Calderon also served as technology analyst for First Bank of Puerto Rico, where he supervised and managed the bank's consumer loan origination system, and helped its lending groups establish strategies to optimize performance of that system. He also was responsible for management and administration of the bank's networks, servers and databases.
