SciQuest Integrates HigherMarkets and SelectSite with Oracle® E-Business Suite and Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Solutions Using Oracle Fusion Middleware
Business Wire, Jan 31, 2007
Integration Helps Reduce Operational Expenses, Drives Greater Contract Compliance, and Enables Faster ROI
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- SciQuest, Inc., a provider of on-demand supplier management and procurement automation solutions, today announced that its HigherMarkets and SelectSite suite of products are integrated with Oracle[R] E-Business Suite and Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise solutions using Oracle Fusion Middleware. This combined solution allows customers to enable a critical mass of supplier content through SciQuest's Supplier Network (SQSN), helping to minimize non-contract and off-catalog spending while creating a faster ROI. SciQuest is a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
Geared towards the higher education market, the suite of HigherMarkets modules manages the procurement automation - greatly improving spend management across an institution. Designed to meet the unique needs of colleges and universities, HigherMarkets is capable of reducing costs, improving productivity, and increasing visibility into organizational spend.
"We are excited to be working with Oracle to provide customers with enterprise-class on-demand procurement automation, supplier enablement and management solutions that deliver significant ROI and sustained long-term value catering to the requirements of Higher Education, Health Care and Life Sciences markets," said SciQuest, Inc. president and CEO, Stephen Wiehe. "Leveraging Oracle Fusion Middleware, our integration with Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft is seamless and optimized to provide a user experience that meets the spending management needs of our customers."
Customers such as the University of Pennsylvania have found benefit from the integrated solution. "By offering this as a competitive advantage to our suppliers we were able to renegotiate existing contracts as well as negotiate new contracts resulting in over 68 percent of purchase order transactions being issued to participating online preferred suppliers," said Ralph Maier, University of Pennsylvania director of purchasing services. "It is the integration of these two leading solutions that has enabled us to achieve such significant results."
Oracle Fusion Middleware provides a common technology platform for ISVs to easily integrate and support their entire mix of Oracle and non-Oracle enterprise applications while laying the groundwork for an SOA. Use of Oracle Fusion Middleware to integrate ISV solutions with Oracle Applications results in additional benefits, including a more comprehensive solution based on an SOA that spans a customer's Oracle Applications and third party applications, and enables a lower total cost-of-ownership and increased agility to more easily transition to a SOA.
