Business Wire, Jan 4, 2007

HERNDON, Va. -- ePlus inc. (Nasdaq NGM:PLUS), today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology, Inc., has achieved the Advanced Security Specialization from Cisco Systems[R]. This specialization recognizes ePlus for its knowledge and expertise in selling, designing, installing, and supporting comprehensive, integrated Cisco network security solutions.

ePlus Technology adds the Advanced Security Specialization to its other Cisco specializations, including Routing and Switching, Wireless LAN, Advanced Wireless LAN, IP Communications, and an ATP in Rich Media Communications.

"Attaining the Cisco Advanced Specialization enhances ePlus' credibility with customers, by further enabling us to deliver skilled technical services and a scalable, reliable network security solution," said Mark Marron, senior vice president of ePlus. "With our status as a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, seasoned engineering staff, and a variety of advanced specializations, ePlus is poised to provide our customers with tighter security and improved visibility across their entire networks."

"As a Cisco Advanced Security Specialized Partner, ePlus is among the industry's elite in providing customers the advanced security solutions they need to develop up a Self Defending Network," said Edison Peres, vice president and Chief Go To Market Officer, Worldwide Channels at Cisco.

The Cisco Advanced Security Specialization is designed to help partners deliver a Self Defending Network made up of integrated, collaborative, and adaptive security solutions. This specialization enables partners to address a wide range of customer needs--from enterprise-scale organizations to small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers and focuses on the entire suite of Cisco security products, including Cisco Security Agent, Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis, and Response (MARS) system, Network Admission Control (NAC), and Cisco IOS.

The Cisco Channel Partner Program provides channel partners with training, validation, and rewards for building the sales, technical, and Cisco Lifecycle Services skills necessary to deliver integrated, value-added solutions to customers. Cisco Specializations reflect the depth of technology skills and Cisco offers three specialization levels--Foundation Express, Advanced, and Master. For each level, partners must demonstrate greater sales, technical, and Cisco Lifecycle Services capabilities in specific technologies. Cisco Certifications--Gold, Silver, and Premier--reflect technology skills breadth across key technologies to ensure partners' ability to deliver integrated networking solutions and can meet specific customer satisfaction metrics.
