Next Generation Business Intelligence Provider Sees Record New Customer Growth

New Products, New Markets, New Partners and New Business Highlight the Year

SOMERVILLE, Mass. -- Spotfire, Inc. (http://www.spotfire.com/), the Information Insight Company(SM), today announced record growth in new customers in 2006 adding 165 for the year, a new high in the company's 10 year history. Spotfire attributed the growth to the increasing popularity of its enterprise analytics platform in markets ready to compete on next generation business intelligence capabilities and to the rapid adoption of its new Spotfire DXP product offering announced in July.

"We had a terrific year and are on a path to a breakout year in 2007 with the support of the most diverse set of new customers in our ten year history," said Christopher Ahlberg, Spotfire founder and CEO. "New information insights that lead to fast action are valued by every type of business, but it matters most that you help someone with the particular analysis their business requires. Our software's adaptability to so many types of analytic challenges and its radically faster experience than traditional BI are driving our growth across the board."

Spotfire DXP enterprise analytics software continues to receive strong industry recognition, in addition to heavy customer demand. CRN Magazine named Spotfire DXP software "the most user-friendly and customizable set of features O seen in an analytics solution," while InfoWorld proclaimed that Spotfire DXP "turbocharges interactive BA [business analytics]."

Spotfire also established new partnerships in 2006, such as with SimCorp in the financial services market. "Financial Services is one of the fastest growing markets for Spotfire but for SimCorp it's always been our only focus," said Soren GA Pedersen, vice president at SimCorp. "Spotfire enables our investment management customers to rapidly obtain insights into their data in a very intuitive way, so they will be able to make better informed decisions more quickly. We are incorporating Spotfire into our SimCorp Dimension software and are excited to offer this new technology to our customers in 2007."

For thousands of business professionals ready for next generation business intelligence, Spotfire offers a visual and interactive experience that helps them make decisions with speed and confidence. Forward-looking organizations including Japan's leading pharmaceutical data provider, several major financial institutions in the United States, a European-based multinational bank, and a variety of major universities contributed to the company's record growth in new customers in 2006. Overall growth in new markets exceeded 60% for the year. The company saw growth across all market segments, including Financial Services and CRM analytics (up 137% in 2006), Energy (up 84%); Hi tech manufacturing (up 34%) and Government (up 140%). Spotfire software's adaptability to specific business challenges within and across industries, such as portfolio management, scientific research, manufacturing, and sales and marketing, drew new customers across the board.
