Blurb Hires New Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Robin Goldberg

Former SVP of Global Marketing for Lonely Planet Will Lead Blurb's Marketing Initiatives and Strategic Partnerships
SAN FRANCISCO -- Blurb, the creative book publishing service, today announced the hiring of Robin Goldberg, the Company's new Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Goldberg was most recently the Senior Vice President, Global Marketing for Lonely Planet, the world's largest independent travel content provider.
Today's announcement marks another strategic achievement for Blurb. The Company recently announced its expansion into the European market, a partnership with Flickr, and improvements to both their bookmaking software and Web site that strengthen Blurb's leadership position in the area of social print media.
"Robin has earned an immense amount of industry respect for her creative marketing skills and ability to identify and close the strategic relationships that matter," said Eileen Gittins, Blurb's founder and CEO. "She is a recognized leader in the field of direct marketing, and her extensive experience both online and offline will be critical in achieving the company's aggressive growth plans."
Goldberg has held key positions at ClickAction, Inc, Nestle Beverage Company, and The Clorox Company, and earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also involved in public education as a volunteer within the San Mateo Foster City School District.
