Noetix Introduces Managed Services to Assist Customers in Administering and Maintaining the Noetix Software Environment for Oracle's Enterprise Applications
Business Wire, July 10, 2007
REDMOND, Wash. -- Noetix([R]) Corp., a software provider that automatically generates business intelligence (BI) content from enterprise applications, today introduced Noetix Managed Services, an offering designed to assist customers with ongoing administration and maintenance of the Noetix software environment within Oracle's Enterprise Applications.
Noetix Managed Services, released in response to customer demand, eliminates software administration issues faced by organizations with limited IT resources, turnover, attrition, or reorganization, such as missed patches, delayed upgrades, and failure to regularly backup systems. Poor software administration can negatively impact the performance of the software and minimize the return on investment of their enterprise applications and BI tools in general.
"Organizations with limited IT resources or time to devote to the administration of Noetix have the most to gain from this service," said Jan Gomez, vice president of Professional Services at Noetix. "The overall cost of having Noetix professionals managing the Noetix environment is often less expensive than allocating in-house resources when factoring in the value of having our experts optimizing use and performance as well as the time and cost to train new administrators."
The service is designed for customers who have either implemented or plan to implement the Noetix Enterprise Technology Suite (which includes an integrated family of Noetix products) and the Noetix Dashboard.
Noetix offers three tiers of Managed Services designed to meet the level of service required by individual organizations:
* Standard Managed Services: The Noetix environment at the client site will be maintained remotely on a regular basis by highly skilled administrators who follow field-tested best practices. The standard plan covers the fundamentals: installation, patching and upgrading, backups, maintaining the operating system, monitoring relevant performance statistics, and regenerating NoetixViews.
* Premium Managed Services: The premium offering provides all of the services offered under the standard plan plus Noetix Platform administrator tasks, such as managing users and security, creating and modifying Noetix QueryServer reporting objects, and caching and publishing reports. Noetix will provide all dashboard administrator tasks as well.
* Enterprise Managed Services: This offering covers all standard and premium level tasks, plus advanced consulting services through the Noetix e*Service program. These include customization of NoetixViews, custom content development from alternate applications or data sources, and assistance with report development.
"Prior to contracting with Noetix Managed Services our internal resources struggled to administer and develop our expanding Noetix environments," said Brenda Gallegos, Business Intelligence Manager at Emerson Process Management. "With multiple divisions working on Oracle implementations, our needs grew and our Oracle instances multiplied quickly. Our environments frequently had to be rebooted and users often complained about performance. We didn't have time to waste spinning our wheels on environment issues but too often we experienced them causing us to miss deadlines, lose momentum, and worst of all, witness our users' faith deteriorate. We made the decision to contract with Noetix Managed Services and it turned our entire situation around. Their knowledge and expertise took our learning curve out of the equation so we started making our project deadlines and achieving our goals multiple times faster than we could without them. We now have stable environments that perform well and are consistently maintained. Our users' issues are dealt with expeditiously and the best part is they are now excited about Noetix again. Noetix Managed Services has become a fundamental success factor for the business intelligence strategy at Emerson Process."
