Books-A-Million Announces Express Lane and Celebration for Fans of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ:BAMM) today announced that there will be no long waits in line as the clock strikes midnight on Saturday, July 21st, with its exclusive and super-fast Express Lane vouchers. In an effort to offer Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows at the earliest possible moment, Books-A-Million will open Express Lanes in most of its 208 locations. Customers who have purchased an Express Lane voucher may simply exchange it for one copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Express Lane vouchers are on sale now at all Books-A-Million locations for 40% off the book's retail price, plus an extra 10% off with a Millionaire's Club Card.
J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with over 784 pages, has a first printing of 12 million - an all time United States publishing record.
"Two years ago, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince surpassed even our loftiest expectations and made publishing history with its printing of over 10.8 million copies," said Jeff Skipper, Vice President of Marketing at Books-A-Million. Books-A-Million stores will also be hosting a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Celebration beginning at 9 P.M. on Friday, July 20, 2007. The celebration includes face painting, trivia contests, Harry Potter crafts, costume contests and a chance to win exclusive prizes. The Books-A-Million Celebration counts down to the 12:01 A.M. release of the long-awaited and greatly anticipated seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series.
