Sterling Commerce Gentran Integration Suite Earns Global Security Certification

Common Criteria Certification Underscores Commitment to Enabling Secure B2B Communications
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Sterling Commerce, an AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) subsidiary, today announced that Gentran Integration Suite[TM] has been awarded Common Criteria (CC) certification. Defined by the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CCITSE), the certification is a globally accepted standard for evaluating the security features and capabilities of information technology (IT) products.
Gentran Integration Suite enables Sterling Commerce customers to cost-effectively create and manage flexible business processes that span internal and external organizational boundaries.

The CC certification provides Sterling Commerce customers with an added measure of confidence in the level of security built into Gentran Integration Suite. The evaluation of Gentran Integration Suite determined that this IT product can be trusted to an evaluation assurance level (EAL) 2 augmented by assurance level criteria basic flaw remediation (ALC_FLR.1).
Gentran Integration Suite provides a standards-based integration platform that allows organizations to incrementally build a multi-enterprise, service-oriented architecture that encompasses an organization's extended community, which may consist of corporations, federal agencies, state and local government agencies, financial service agencies and other organizations.
