Joseph Cosma, East Air Corporation's Vice President of Operations and Quality Assurance Honored by the Aviation Suppliers Association with Lifetime Achievement Award

MIAMI -- The ASA Board of Directors has selected aviation industry veteran Joseph Cosma, of East Air Corporation as the 2007 recipient of The Edward J. Glueckler Award in recognition of his outstanding commitment, dedication and contribution to the Aviation Suppliers Association and to the aviation industry. The 2007 Glueckler Award was presented during the ASA 2007 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, FL.
Cosma, a 45 year veteran of the aviation industry served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961, held several quality assurance roles during his 29 year career with Pan American World Airways and has been VP of Operations and Quality Assurance for East Air Corporation since 1994. Joe has been an active member of the ASA Quality Assurance Committee since its inception and was an instrumental participant in development in the FAA's Advisory Circular AC00-56A Voluntary Industry Distributor Accreditation Program.
Joe's many industry accomplishments include FAA Airframe & Powerplant rating, a level II Non- Destructive Test (NDT) test and borescope inspector, FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) ratings.
