Veracode Names Bernd Leger Vice President of Marketing

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Veracode Inc., provider of the industry's first on-demand application security review solutions, announced today the appointment of Bernd Leger as the company's vice president of marketing. A seasoned global corporate marketing veteran, Leger joins Veracode to further the company's corporate and product marketing position in application security.

Leger will drive Veracode's marketing strategy, including demand generation, product marketing, corporate communications, marketing communications and sales enablement. With 12 years of experience working with enterprise software, service and on-demand companies, Bernd brings strong market understanding and expertise to Veracode.

Most recently, Leger was vice president of marketing at Oblicore, a leading provider of service level and business management solutions, where he was responsible for all facets of the company's global marketing effort, including corporate marketing and product management. Leger was instrumental in positioning Oblicore as a leader in Forrester's Business Service Management Wave Report. During his tenure, Oblicore's marketing efforts were recognized with an American Business Award for the Web Site - Branding/Promotion category.
Prior to Oblicore, Leger was vice president of marketing with NaviSite, Inc., a leading provider of IT outsourcing services focused on application management and managed services. He joined NaviSite through its acquisition of Surebridge, Inc., where he served as director of marketing. During Leger's tenure, Surebridge grew its business from $12 to $45 million in three years. Leger was instrumental in repositioning the company to a provider of on-demand solutions and helped establish Surebridge as a Siebel Strategic Platform Partner, serving on Siebel's worldwide partner advisory council.
A native of Germany, Leger has a business administration degree from of the University of Munich in Germany and has completed studies at Georgetown University.
