Fletcher Allen Health Care Chooses MedAssets Net Revenue Systems for Chargemaster Monitoring and Management
Business Wire, July 2, 2007
ATLANTA -- MedAssets Net Revenue Systems announced today that Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., will implement CDM Master[TM] and KnowledgeMaster Plus for chargemaster monitoring and management. The five-year agreement is effective May 15. Fletcher Allen selected MedAssets after a comprehensive analysis of other industry chargemaster tools.
Launched in February 2007, CDM Master raises the bar for chargemaster management by incorporating price defensibility capabilities. The chargemaster monitoring and management tool uses proprietary benchmarks covering 100 percent of the chargemaster and includes best practice recommendations for coding and compliance.
"Chargemaster management is tedious and labor intensive work," said Abe Berman, CDM Specialist, Fletcher Allen Health Care. "We felt CDM Master was the best tool to assist Fletcher Allen with compliant charging and pricing defensibility. CDM Master and KnowledgeMaster Plus will contribute to our goal of accurate and efficient charging and greater patient satisfaction."
MedAssets Net Revenue Systems' team of highly experienced compliance and clinical experts research CMS and other compliance regulations to create best practice recommendations. CDM Master has the industry's most extensive research library readily accessible to support recommendations and provides best practice charging structures. Daily updates and weekly e-mail alerts ensure the chargemaster is always up-to-date.
"CDM Master has unmatched capabilities for managing the complexity of academic medical centers such as Fletcher Allen Health Care," said Kate Banks, senior vice president, MedAssets Net Revenue Systems. "Our tool will optimize their chargemaster management function and provide the highest level of revenue integrity."
