Business Wire, July 23, 2007

PUTTEN, The Netherlands -- Cordys, a leading Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) provider, today announced the appointment of Jon Pyke as Chief Strategy Officer. Pyke is a globally recognized Business Process Management (BPM) pioneer and luminary. He was formerly Chief Technology Officer for Staffware, acquired by Tibco, and is a co-founder and chairman of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), a global organization devoted to the advancement of workflow and BPM standards and awareness.

"Jon's role of Chief Strategy Officer is a crucial one for Cordys as the company moves into the next stage of growth and market adoption," said Jan Baan, Founder and Executive Chairman of Cordys. "Jon's profile, knowledge of the market and unique style are a tremendous asset. We are very pleased to have him on board."

"I am very excited about the opportunity with Cordys," said Pyke. "Over the past three years I have looked at just about every BPM product on the market, but none came close to the completeness of offering and innovative approach offered by Cordys. There is a clear opportunity to change the direction of the BPM market and inject some new and imaginative thinking into this space - ultimately delivering on the vision of bringing business and IT closer together."

Pyke has over 30 years experience in the field of software development working for a number of software and hardware companies as well as user organizations. He was the Chief Technology Officer and a main board director of Staffware Plc from August 1992 until Tibco acquired the company in 2004. While at Staffware, he was responsible for a development team geographically split into two countries (USA and the UK) as well as for product strategy and positioning, including the design and development of the IProcess Engine. Pyke also founded The Process Factory with the aim to deliver on-demand BPM technology. He acts as a non-executive director for a number of public and private software companies.

Pyke is a frequent speaker at international events and has written and published a number of articles on the subject of office automation, BPM and workflow technology. Most recently he has co-authored a book published by Cambridge University Press and titled, "Mastering you Organization's Processes," covering both technical and business aspects of BPM. He is an AiiM Laureate for Workflow and was awarded the Marvin Manheim award for Excellence in workflow in 2003.
