City of Salem, KeySpan to Announce Energy Partnership

Community-Wide Efforts Help Individuals Combat Climate Change
SALEM, Mass. --
WHAT: KeySpan, the largest distributor of natural gas in the
Northeast, and the City of Salem, are encouraging residents
and community leaders to reduce their carbon footprint and
combat global warming. As part of this new partnership,
Salem will work with KeySpan and the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) to increase the energy efficiency of
municipal buildings in Salem by 10 percent--and to help
residents take simple actions to prevent climate change.
Salem will launch its participation in these energy
efficiency programs during an event at City Hall.
