Synchronica plc Software Licence
Business Wire, July 24, 2007
TUNBRIDGE WELLS, England -- Synchronica, an international provider of mobile synchronization and device management solutions, today announces that it has licensed a core component of its Mobile Manager Suite to SmartTrust AB ("SmartTrust"), a leader in Mobile Device Management solutions, for a fee of EUR 800,000. Synchronica will further support SmartTrust with dedicated engineering resource providing additional revenues of up to EUR 200,000 per year.
This contract is the largest single transaction in the history of the Company. It is a milestone in the relationship between Synchronica and SmartTrust, which began in 2005 when the two companies signed an OEM agreement enabling SmartTrust to license Synchronica's device management products to its customers, which include nearly 200 of the world's leading network operators.
Synchronica's Mobile Manager is a modular device management suite offering complete device lifecycle management for operators, handset manufacturers and enterprises. It includes modules for client provisioning, an automated hotline for device diagnosis and repair, backup and restore, an enterprise module for managing fleets of devices, firmware updates over the air, and the core Sydemas Engine.
Commenting on the deal, Carsten Brinkschulte, Chief Executive of Synchronica said: "We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with SmartTrust with the licensing of the OMA DM component of our Mobile Manager Suite. It is a significant endorsement of the strength of our industry standard device management software, as well as our strategy of building long-term relationships within the industry."
The above is not the OEM agreement for Mobile Gateway with a major hardware manufacturer previously referred to by the Company. These negotiations remain ongoing, as are a number of further potential deals.
