Glowpoint and Cenero Partner to Land Kling Stubbins
Business Wire, July 24, 2007
HILLSIDE, N.J. -- Glowpoint Inc. (OTC:GLOW.PK), a premiere broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video service provider, and its reseller partner, Cenero, today announced they were selected by Kling Stubbins, a globally recognized design and engineering industry firm, to provide managed video services at six U.S. locations. The solution includes equipment and services recommended by Cenero, including a managed video service provided by Glowpoint.
"The customer had inconsistent results when they tried to deploy video on their own network," said Rob Gilfillan, president of Cenero. "After reviewing their current videoconferencing design and network topography, it was evident that Glowpoint's solution could improve their video availability and overall experience."
Cenero is a value-added reseller of video equipment and joined the Glowpoint distribution channel late last year. In addition to Kling Stubbins, Cenero has also introduced Glowpoint to the investment banking firm of Hirtle Callaghan.
"Our distribution channel is a key component of Glowpoint's growth plans," said Michael Brandofino, president and CEO for Glowpoint. "Cenero is a great example of the type of partner we seek to work closely with. They are knowledgeable and solution-oriented with a focus on customer service."
Glowpoint's focus on improving sales from its channel has shown marked success. During the first half of 2006, only ten percent of closed deals were introduced through the distribution channel. That number has increased to approximately 40 percent in the first half of 2007.
