One of Looney Tunes' Favorite Characters, Tweety, Stars in His Own, Original Full-Length Animated Film
BURBANK, Calif. -- Consumers will get a bird's-eye view of the world with Warner Home Video's (WHV) release of Tweety's High-Flying Adventure, which lands on DVD September 18, 2007. Everyone's favorite yellow canary, Tweety, headlines his own full-length animated adventure which will take viewers on an exciting journey around the globe. Joining Tweety on his travels are some of his best Looney Tunes pals including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew and several others. The DVD is priced at $14.98 SRP.
Tweety's High-Flying Adventure begins in the Looney Club, where Col. Rimfire declares his belief that cats are the most intelligent of all animals. Granny, in hopes of raising enough money to save a nearby children's park, makes a wager with the colonel that her Tweety can outsmart 80 cats and fly around the world in 80 days, collecting 80 paw prints. His adversary, that "bad old putty tat" Sylvester, still hoping to make Tweety his personal snack, is incensed at the thought of some other cat getting the little bird first and vows to follow Tweety around the world so he can catch him first. Tweety's journey takes him to some of the world's most exciting destinations.
"Consumer products featuring Tweety are hugely successful, bringing in millions in retail sales worldwide, and Tweety is also one of kids' favorite cartoon characters. Thus, we felt consumers would appreciate seeing him featured as a lead character in his own full-length adventure," said Dorinda Marticorena, WHV Vice President of Family, Animation & Sports Marketing. She added, "Tweety's High-Flying Adventure is an entertaining film fit for both children and grownups. Kids will enjoy seeing Tweety's character getting into all sorts of new escapades, while adults will appreciate that this is a Looney Tunes cartoon featuring high quality production, beautiful animation and clever story telling."
