Widen Integrates Adobe® XMP for Advanced Metadata Support

MADISON, Wis. -- Widen recently announced the integration of Adobe[R] XMP technology into their suite of digital asset management services. Integration of Adobe XMP will enable Widen digital asset management to ingest digital assets with embedded metadata upon upload for the dynamic population of metadata fields. This functionality will allow users immediate search capability while empowering administrators with a complete set of descriptive information and ownership gathered throughout the digital asset creation process.

Widen also embeds metadata into files as digital assets are removed from the system. Users will have immediate access to the descriptive information associated with each downloaded file. This will ensure content consistency across a global network of digital asset users. Adobe's XMP technology allows metadata to be captured during the lifecycle of digital assets from capture to global usage. This information is captured within Adobe Creative Suite 3 software applications which contain rights, descriptive information, and keywords.
