BOSTON -- With a large number of baby boomers approaching retirement and an impending workforce shortage, local employers are facing the challenge of diversifying their workforce in order to continue to grow. With more than half of Boston residents identifying themselves as part of a diverse population, this fair is designed to benefit both businesses looking to grow a diverse workforce and area professionals from different races, abilities, ages and walks of life.
The Professional Diversity Career Fair is the perfect vehicle for diverse candidates looking for a new opportunity. The event will bring together the region's top employers who are looking to hire. Companies that will be recruiting include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Bright Horizons, Eastern Bank, Poland Spring, The Boston Red Sox and the University of Massachusetts, among many others. The fair will be open from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.
