Reunion.com Names Internet Industry Veteran Dipik Rai Vice President of Strategy

LOS ANGELES -- Reunion.com, the online leader in helping adults find, reconnect, and keep in touch with their friends and family, today announced the appointment of Dipik Rai as Vice President of Business Analysis and Strategy. In this capacity, Rai will be responsible for building a business intelligence function that will help shape strategic goals and execute against operational plans.
With over 12 years of B2C and B2B Internet experience, Reunion.com marks Rai's fifth involvement with an Internet start-up company. Prior to joining Reunion.com, Rai served as Vice President of Business Development and Product for Engage.com, the world's first online relationship service, where he helped raise a $5 million 'Series A' financing round and grew the customer database from zero to its first 200,000 members in the competitive online dating space.

Prior to Engage.com, Rai was Senior Director of Marketing for Knight Ridder Digital where he was responsible for building a local database-advertising product in nine local markets. Based on successful performance, his role grew to include all online marketing and product functions for 31 local newspaper websites.

Adding to his vast experience, Rai also served as Senior Director - Direct Marketing at Yahoo!, where he was tasked with building a team of 30 people to work across all business properties, selling directly to consumers. In order to maximize business opportunities for Yahoo!'s premium services, Rai and his team focused on Y! Personals, Y! Small Business, Y! SBC Access, Y! Games, etc. In addition, Rai was responsible for developing Yahoo!'s database email marketing strategy to optimally leverage its 100MM user database and drive its premium subscriptions.
Rai has also had success in numerous operating roles for other online businesses including Classmates.com, Online Interactive, Inc., and Aptimus Inc. (formerly FreeShop.com).
Rai holds a joint honors degree in Business Administration and Economics from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C.
