Mad Catz Enters into License Agreement with the NHL to Produce Branded Controllers and Related Accessories

SAN DIEGO -- Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (AMEX/TSE: MCZ), a leading third-party video game accessory provider, announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with the National Hockey League ("NHL") which allows it to produce customized NHL team controllers and other accessories for all video game platforms. The multi-year license agreement between Mad Catz and the NHL allows Mad Catz to distribute licensed products throughout the United States and Canada.
"With the addition of the NHL to our portfolio of licensed brands, Mad Catz will now offer licensed accessories for fans of each of North America's four major sports leagues. Mad Catz will produce a range of video game accessories featuring the logos and colors of each of the 30 NHL teams. The accessories will be available through online and team stores and wherever video game accessories are sold.
