Hyatt Hotels Selects Newmarket International's Daylight® ASP to Transform its Operations and Enhance Customer Service
Business Wire, June 14, 2007
Hyatt will integrate Newmarket's[R] sales and catering solution with its proprietary Envision sales application via an ASP model
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Newmarket International, Inc., the leader in sales and catering solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced that Hyatt Hotels Corporation selected its Daylight ASP (Application Service Provider) solution for its ability to seamlessly integrate with Hyatt's own proprietary sales system, Envision. The integrated solution will help update Hyatt's operations and deliver the best in customer service. With the implementation, data will be exchanged between Daylight and Envision with Daylight serving as the primary sales and catering system for catering and convention services users.
Hyatt understands the need for a technology solution to help completely transform its operations and streamline the handoff from sales. At any given time within a hotel, the staff sifts through hundreds of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), resulting in millions of details that need to be covered. Currently, Hyatt processes all of these details through a single report so each operational department has to individually pore through and prioritize all the information. Newmarket's Daylight was selected due to its ability to integrate with Envision and for its ASP model, providing a turnkey solution that will allow Hyatt to connect sales and catering information that previously resided in silos.
"We are thrilled to implement the Daylight solution throughout our hotels," said Steve Enselein, vice president of catering and convention services, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. "This will revolutionize our customer relations and back office operations. Our goal is to transform, streamline and expedite the way we transition sales and the booking of our group events. Daylight will allow us to do this and much more in order to provide a more transparent experience to our customers."
Daylight will give Hyatt the ability to provide clear and concise role-based reports and work orders to each individual department, simplifying its processes and improving the transition of events from sales to operations. With Daylight, the banquet managers will be freed from information processing, allowing them to spend more time servicing the customer and assuring overall quality. Additionally, with the Daylight integration into Envision, the sales team can provide one complete document to the customer, with the event information in chronological order and the cost estimate included. In the end, Daylight will help Hyatt to provide the service that keeps its customers coming back, staying ahead of the competition.
"Hyatt is setting the pace for hospitality companies. They are always looking for ways to deliver better service and have realized that empowering their staff with the right technology will pay huge dividends in both money saved and customer experience," said Sean O'Neill, CEO, Newmarket International, Inc. "At Newmarket, we are committed to providing cutting-edge technology with powerful integration capabilities and we are excited to see Hyatt take advantage of this innovative solution."
