Department of Agriculture Selects OPTIMUS to Provide Network Management Support Services

MCLEAN, Va. -- AVIEL Systems, Inc. announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, OPTIMUS Corporation, along with its subcontractors CIBER, Inc. and Windward Consulting Group, has been awarded a contract to provide Network Management Support Services to the United States Department of Agriculture's National Telecommunications Services and Operations organization.

The OPTIMUS team will provide network management, customer support, systems administration, and continuity of operations support for the department's Universal Telecommunications Network which supports both internal USDA agencies as well as external customers.

The contract has a value of approximately $8M over a 5-year term.
