ePlus Technology Recognized by Cisco as a Network-Hosted Storage Applications Authorized Technology Provider
Business Wire, June 19, 2007
HERNDON, Va. -- ePlus inc. (Nasdaq NGM: PLUS), today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology, Inc., has achieved Network-Hosted Storage Applications Authorized Technology Provider status from Cisco. This designation recognizes ePlus for its investment in gaining specific knowledge and expertise in selling, planning, designing, implementing, and optimizing storage networking solutions, including network-based applications. To receive this designation, ePlus completed the requirements for the Cisco Storage Networking Specialization.
"Being recognized as a Cisco ATP channel partner in Network Hosted Storage demonstrates our commitment to Cisco technology and strengthens our status as an end-to-end Cisco solutions provider," said Mark Marron, senior vice president of ePlus. "This achievement demonstrates ePlus' expertise in the emerging world of complex networking technologies. ePlus and the Cisco account management team will continue working together as we develop and enhance our mutual capabilities to support our customers--helping them lower total cost of ownership and maintain business continuity."
"As customers start deploying more network-enabled applications for their data center and storage infrastructures, Cisco Authorized Technology Provider Partners such as ePlus are critical for the growth of this market," said John Growdon, director of data center, routing and switching, worldwide channels for Cisco.
Through its industry-leading MDS 9000 SAN-OS Software and other series products, Cisco provides an open-standards-based platform to help enable the deployment of high-performance intelligent fabric applications-such as network-based volume management, remote replication, and continuous data protection-from third-party storage software vendors. The Cisco MDS 9000 Intelligent Fabric Applications complement the Cisco Data Center Network Architecture, an integrated set of products, best practices, and services that help information technology managers build and operate best-in-class network platforms.
The Cisco Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) Program is a key part of Cisco's emerging technology go-to-market strategy. The program helps define the knowledge, skills, and services that channel partners need to successfully sell, deploy, and support a given technology. As markets mature and technologies progress along the adoption curve, some ATP programs migrate to Cisco Specializations.
